CAPA in collaboration with the IAASB presents: The ISA for LCE Forum
Date: Wednesday September 25, 2024
Time: 3:00 PM Malaysia/Singapore | 9:00 AM Norway/Netherlands
Webinar Invitation
The Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) representing the regional accountancy profession in the Asia Pacific region in collaboration with the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) is pleased to invite you to attend this invite only webinar event.
The IAASB issued the ISA for LCE standard in December 2023 and is intended to be a standalone global auditing standards designed specifically for smaller and less complex businesses and organizations. Built on the foundation of the International Standards on Auditing, audits performed using this standard provide the same level of assurance for eligible audits (i.e., reasonable assurance). The standard is effective for audits beginning on or after December 15, 2025, for jurisdictions that adopt or permit its use.
Purpose of the Webinar
To raise awareness of the ISA for LCE as an alternative to the conventional International Standards on Auditing, this webinar will highlight its benefits, design principles, and prohibitions. Attendees will hear from the IAASB directly, and an assembled panel will discuss jurisdictional perspectives on readiness and challenges and their adoption and implementation journeys. Panelists will also examine how regulators and PAOs can provide the necessary support to ensure its successful implementation. There will be an opportunity to pose questions to the panelists in advance and during the webinar.
We will start with a presentation by IAASB on the contents of the ISA for LCE standard and the authority of the standard as well as its limitation where applicable.
